Market

Market access

Market access is how your product reaches the people who buy and use it. We plan the launch around your approvals, so the two stay in step.

What it is

In one sentence

We build your go-to-market plan (how the product reaches buyers) and link each step to the approvals and licences it depends on.

Who it is for

Commercial, regulatory and business development teams at pharma, medtech and nutraceutical companies whose approval is in sight.

Problems it solves

What goes wrong, and how we prevent it

  • Launch plans that run ahead of approvals

A launch date is set before the licence is in hand, or the sales message claims more than the label allows. We build the launch plan from your approval timeline and your approved claims.

  • Pricing rules found too late

Some medicines in India have a price ceiling set by the government. Finding this out after launch means repricing. We check the pricing rules before you set a price.

  • Export filings held up by documents

Other countries ask for certificates and local versions of your dossier. Missing papers stall the filing. We list what each country needs and prepare it in advance.

What you get

Deliverables

  • A go-to-market plan linked to your approval timeline
  • Product placement and commercial strategy
  • Help finding and setting up distributors
  • Pricing support in India, including NPPA and DPCO rules
  • Hospital tender readiness and value dossiers (a document that shows a buyer what the product is worth for its price)
  • KOL advisory boards: we choose the panel, run the meeting and write up what we learn
  • Export registration in other markets using a CoPP, with the dossier adapted for each country
  • Technology transfer to contract manufacturers
  • Support after launch, through the product's life on the market

How it works

From approval to launch

  1. Map the approvals

We list the approvals and licences you have, and those still to come. This sets what you can sell, where and when.

  2. Plan the launch

We agree the markets, the sales channels and the price. We check each one against the rules that apply.

  3. Set up partners

We help you find distributors and contract manufacturers. We bring in expert doctors to advise on the product.

  4. Launch and support

After launch we help with changes to the product, new markets and the rules you must keep following.

Regulators and standards

Rules we work to

We name the rule that applies to each part of the plan.

NPPA (India)
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority. It sets and checks the prices of medicines in India.
DPCO (India)
The Drugs (Prices Control) Order. The rules that put a ceiling on the price of some medicines in India. NPPA enforces them.
CoPP
The Certificate of a Pharmaceutical Product. The regulator in the country where a product is made issues it. Many other countries ask for it before they will register the product.
CDSCO (India)
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation. India's national regulator for medicines and medical devices. Your licences from CDSCO set what you can sell in India.
Terms explained
GTM (go-to-market) is the plan for how a product reaches buyers. A KOL (key opinion leader) is a respected doctor or expert in a field. A contract manufacturer makes products for another company. Technology transfer means handing over everything needed to make a product at a new site.

FAQs

Questions we are often asked

When should we start planning the launch?

While the approval is still in progress. The launch depends on what the approval allows: the claims, the label and the markets. Planning both together means the launch is ready when the licence arrives, and nothing in it has to change.

Can you help us find distributors?

Yes. We help you choose distributors and set them up. We check that each one holds the licences needed to store and sell your product.

Do you help with pricing in India?

Yes. We check whether your product falls under the DPCO price controls that NPPA enforces. We help you set a price that follows those rules. We also help you get ready for hospital tenders, and write value dossiers for buyers.

Can you plan a KOL advisory board?

Yes. We choose the panel from our academic and hospital network. We run the meeting and give you a written report of what the experts said.

Do you support export registration?

Yes. We register products in other markets using a CoPP. We also adapt your dossier to each country's format and language.

Do you support technology transfer to contract manufacturers?

Yes. We help transfer your test methods to the new site and support scaling up production. We align the batch records (the step-by-step record of how each batch is made). We also move your side-effect monitoring across when a new marketing licence is issued.

Do you help after the product is launched?

Yes. We help with changes to the product or label, new markets and renewals. We also connect you with our drug safety and regulatory teams when you need them.

We are a start-up or a university team with a research result. Can you help us take it to market?

Yes. Start with our Innovation and strategy service. It gives you a clear first step, from research results to a plan for approval and launch.
